Sports Booking is a mobile app for reserving pickleball courts, built for players who want to quickly find an available court, book a slot and track their game.
The app covers the full flow: from onboarding and sign-in (email, Apple, Google) through exploring courts filtered by location, type (indoor/outdoor) and availability. Every court has a detailed page with ratings, a description, amenities (WiFi, parking, showers, lockers) and available time slots.
The home screen features a personalised carousel of popular courts with animated scrolling and an upcoming-match card showing the date, venue and opponent. The player profile includes a loyalty programme (Gold/Platinum) with points, stats (matches, win rate, streak) and match history and achievements.
Challenge
Build a mobile app that makes it easy for pickleball players to find courts, book slots and track results — all in one place, with a clean interface that feels native on iOS and Android.
Solution
React Native with Expo for a single codebase on both platforms, Expo Router for file-based navigation with a native tab bar and form-sheet modals, and Reanimated for smooth carousel animations and screen transitions.
Results
A polished UI prototype with onboarding, sign-in, a home carousel, a court finder, a detail sheet, a loyalty programme and a profile — ready for backend integration.
