When WordPress no longer carries a B2B brand

The old WordPress site was slow, visually dated and unclear for visitors. The new Next.js site is fast, structured and SEO-ready — with a clear path from first look to enquiry.

Problem

TM Metal had a WordPress website that no longer represented the company well. It loaded slowly, looked unprofessional and did not make it obvious what the company offers, who it is for or how to send an enquiry.

We do not have old screenshots — but the issues were typical of dated WP themes: a heavy theme, messy hierarchy, weak mobile experience and poor technical SEO (titles, structure, speed, markup).

For a B2B metal company that is expensive. A buyer or partner judges trust in seconds. If the site feels outdated and sluggish, you lose the opportunity before the call.

Approach

We did a clean rebuild on Next.js — not a cosmetic facelift of a WordPress theme. The goal: speed, clarity and a professional impression, with content the team can update themselves.

Instead of leaving visitors hunting through menus, we built a clear path: who we are → what we do → references/offer → contact. Each section has one job.

Next.js instead of WordPress

Static generation and a modern frontend deliver speed and better control over design and SEO. Fewer plugins, less technical debt.

CMS for self-serve edits

Sanity CMS lets the team update content without a developer — important when they want to add projects and contacts themselves.

SEO as part of the build

Clean titles, sensible hierarchy, Schema.org, fast pages and clear CTAs — a foundation organic traffic and enquiries can grow on.

Before vs after — visitor path

  1. Slow WP entry
  2. Unclear offer
  3. Hunting for contact
  4. → New fast site
  5. Clear offer + CTA

What shipped

A new web visual presence

A clean, modern layout with GSAP motion that feels premium and industrial — without looking like a template.

Clear information structure

Visitors quickly understand the activity, the offer and the next step. Less guessing, more concrete enquiries.

CMS + contact

Sanity for content, Resend for contact enquiries — the team can keep moving without waiting on a developer.

Technical SEO

Optimised for speed, mobile and search engines, including Schema.org markup.

Results

TM Metal now has a website that matches the quality of their work: faster, clearer and visually at a B2B brand level. Visitors understand what the company offers and how to enquire.

Without old screenshots we cannot show a visual before/after — but we can show the outcome: a modern Next.js platform instead of slow WordPress, with better structure, an SEO foundation and a path to contact.

  • Faster loading and a better mobile experience
  • Clearer presentation of the offer and next step
  • Technical SEO (structure, Schema.org, speed)
  • CMS for self-serve content updates

Who this approach is for

This case study is relevant for manufacturing, trade and B2B companies in Slovenia and the EU sitting on an outdated WordPress (or similar) site: slow loads, weak visuals, confusing navigation and poor SEO.

If you need a developer who can deliver a full redesign — design, Next.js build, CMS, contact flow and SEO foundation — Tim Blažič is a strong fit for projects where the site must build trust and generate enquiries, not just “be online”.
